The system is designed to be a simple retrofit technology which can be fitted to existing production machines. There are 3 main components , a pair of sealing jaws, a free standing control cabinet and an integrated chilled water system. The Integrity Seal system is designed, manufactured, installed and serviced by our specialist engineering partners Ceetak Ltd.
Only the rear jaw is heated by impulse, triggered from an inbuilt proximity probe which senses when the jaws come into contact. After the heat is applied, chilled water rapidly removes the heat from the weld to produce a strong air tight seal. The front jaw features a special anvil arrangement, combining cutter and rubbers which simultaneously produce a cut and weld seal. There is no mechanical knife.
To aid fitting, the jaws are designed to be fastened to the cross frame of the parent machine using the same bolts and components, so making fitting simple and easy. There is no need for extensive costly rebuilding. Activation of the heating cycle is started by probes within the jaw, sensing when they have closed, so there is no need to integrate I.S. within the parent machine. Control of the heating cycle is provided by a separate control panel.
The water chiller delivers cooling water to remove the heat on every cycle , before the jaws open. This ensures the seal is cool enough and set hard to withstand the weight of the contents. As the seals are cooled on every cycle the jaws are safe to touch and also do not suffer product contamination. Chillers can be fitted to individual machines or a single larger chiller can be supplied to feed a bank of sealing machines and located in a separate room away from the baggers.
The resin cutter is also not sharp and safe to touch with no risk of cuts and has 4 edges which can be used.
Integrity Seal™ has been fitted to many models of vertical bagging machines, e.g. Rovema, Ilapac, GIC, Sandiacre, Hayssen, Bosch and Line Equipment. It works on both intermittent motion and continuous motion machines and is under development for high speed rotary machines.
Our newest customer McCain Foods (GB) Ltd have reported significant additional benefits because they have also been able to rejuvenate their oldest machines and improve their productivity and reduce the cost of operating them. Significant savings have been achieved in consumables, cost of cleaning, maintenance and servicing, plus it has been possible to remove the original pneumatically operated bag grippers . Integrity Seal™ jaws have in built grippers which provide a number of functions, they support heavy bags, protect the heater from product contamination, and also push the seal away from the heater bar as the jaws open.

The rear jaw design allows for quick retrofit to parent machine.
The unique front jaw (patent pending) is a simple user friendly design. It is not heated and the cutter and rubbers are quickly cleaned and replaced.
